PANTELCO - Panay Telephone Corporation is a privately owned telecommunications company operating in the province of Aklan and some parts of Antique.

In 1993, PANTELCO started its operation in the island of Boracay, Malay, Aklan. Its office was then located at Marzon Beach Resort formerly known as South Sea Beach Resort with only 4 employees manning analog telephone systems. Today, PANTELCO Boracay is located along the main road of Barangay Balabag with 15 employees. Operations include a wide range of Telecommunications and Internet services.

Due to high dependence on telephone services as a means of communication, Kalibo Exchange was established in 1994. PANTELCO Kalibo became the Central Office of its operations and started servicing the municipalities of Kalibo, Banga, New Washington, Numancia, Makato, Malinao, Lezo, Altavas and the island of Boracay. In 1996, PANTELCO extended operations and services in the neighboring provinces of Iloilo and Antique.

In June of 2009, the PANTELCO building was inaugurated after the devastation left by Typhoon Frank from the previous year. Today, PANTELCO Kalibo is the main office for operations concerning all exchanges of PANTELCO in the province of Aklan and some parts of Antique.

Persistent to curve a niche in the telecommunications industry, PANTELCO interconnected with Philippine Long Distance Telephone Corporation (PLDT), Philippine Global Communications, Inc. (PHILCOM), Globe Telecommunications, Inc. (GLOBE), Bayan Telecommunications, Inc. (BAYANTEL), Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART), Destiny Satellite Corporation (DOMSAT), ISLACOM as Domestic and International Carriers.

To further address the telecommunication needs of clientele, especially on the business-oriented side, PANTELCO supports a wide range of services together with installation of PABX/PBX Systems that includes inside and outside plant installations of systems, fiber optic cables, and accessories.

It was in 1998 that PANTELCO became an internet service provider (ISP). This started a new phase in its operations in line with its aim to offer updated state of the art communication services to the clientle meeting the demand for innovations and new technology.
